Nokia X3-02 AND C3-01 First Touch and Type Phone by Nokia

Right from the day of its inception, the Finnish giant Nokia has always been on the forefront of the innovation. In the last couple of months, the company has launched two ‘touch and type’ phones, X3-02 and C3-01, which are an amalgamation of an alphanumeric keypad and a TFT touchscreen.

The two phones top the chart on the looks front but what makes them unique is there ability to offer modes operandi on using then through touch as well as with keypad. The two phones have been categorically designed after a consumer response which found that mobile users are more comfortable using keypad for enjoying speedy SMS, chat and instant messaging but also want to enjoy the benefits of touch, which enables smooth browsing and controlling applications like music and games.


Nokia C3-01 Touch & Type
Nokia X3-02 supports 3G and has an in-built music player and FM radio along with dedicated messaging keys whereas C3-01 is the device with enhanced usability and enrihed touch. The X3-02 enables video capture in QVGA at up to 30 fps and VGA at up to 15 fps and digital zoom up to 4x. The video formats supported are MPEG-4, 3GPP, H.263 and H.264.

On the other hand, Nokia C3-01 is a sleek bar phone, which runs on Symbian S40 6th series edition with a 2.4 inch resistive TFT touchscreen. It is a Quad Band phone, which also has 3G and WiFi. The phone supports 3G speeds of up to HSDPA 10.2 Mbps and HSUPA 2 Mbps.

Not just this, both the devices allow email and IM experience using Nokia Messaging and smooth social networking features. Moreover, both the handsets come with 5 megapixel camera with 4X zoom making it a handy alternative to camera.

Nokia X2-02 ‘Touch and Type’ is available for Rs. 7850 and Nokia C3-01 could be bought for Rs. 9690. However, the price could vary as per the city and outlets.
