Apple iPhone 4 - All set for India

The iPhone 4 promises better functionality than its predecessors

The past three generations of iPhone's have progressively upgraded the standards in diverse spheres. Be it looks, technology or functionality. And the best part about Apple is even before you crave for newer version; it’s already announced or out in the market.
The company launched the latest version of its phone, the iPhone 4 last year in June in USA, UK, France, Germany and Japan. Now the industry is abuzz with the news that it’ll be available to lay hands on in India within a couple of months. When it comes to looks its completely different from any earlier iPhone. The design is pretty angular and the metallic strip gives a great contrast to the 3.5 inch LED backlit liquid crystal display.  Like the iPad 2 the phone supports a micro SIM. The Safari browser can open YouTube videos but there is no support for Adobe Flash.

The iPhone 4 runs on Apple’s iOS 4 operating system and we expect it to come with the latest 4.3.2 version of the OS. The capacitive touchscreen of the iPhone is extremely responsive keeping up with apple’s touch legacy and it also comes with multi-touch. The phone is supported by Apple A4 chipset with 1 GHz ARM processor and 512 MB of RAM, which enhances the phone’s performance significantly.

The phone is 3G enabled and supports high quality video calling through FaceTime. It can support HSDPA at 7.2 Mbps and HSUPA at 5.76 Mbps. On multimedia front, the iPhone 4 has a 5.0-megapixel camera with LED flash. You could record HD videos with the iPhone 4. The front camera for video calling is VGA

The phone is expected to be launched in two variants with 16 GB and 32 GB and we might actually see a white iPhone 4 hitting the Indian markets soon.  It has other interesting features like digital compass, Google Maps, video player and editor, voice command dial, iTunes, iBooks and a wide range of applications on the Apple App store.

The phone loaded with unlimited features also has strong battery back up. It supports up to 7 hours of talk time on 3G with stand by time of up to 300 hours whereas Internet usage is limited to 6 hours on 3G and up to 10 hours on Wi-Fi. The front camera for video calling is VGA

When it comes to features the phone is practically loaded and is expected to come with a strong battery back up. Apple claims that the phone can give up to 7 hours of talk time on 3G with stand by time of up to 300 hours whereas Internet usage is limited to 6 hours on 3G and up to 10 hours on Wi-Fi.
